Melbourne Cup 2010

We celebrated the 2010 Melbourne Cup with a fusion of fine food, local and international fashions labels, and a sumptuous three course banquet.

In true Melbourne Cup style, The Italian at the Pacific teamed up with Byron’s most loved fashion house, Nami, to host a stunning fashion parade. Ten gorgeous local models strut the catwalk in an exquisite array of clothing, shoes and jewellery by local, global and Australian labels. Stylists from Overhaul, Aveda hair spa, brought out the beauty in each ensemble that hit the runway. Featured designers included Goddess of Babylon, Spell, Foveau Feathers, Bec and Bridege, Colin Heaney, Jewels by Jaquelyn, Alice McCall, Hussy, Johnny Ramli, Mavil, Found, Autonomy.

Guests enjoyed a glass of Sparkling on arrival, had feasting entrees and a wonderful sit down three course lunch followed as corks popped. The cocktail bar crew were kept busy.

Sponsors for the best dressed prize- Nami, Driftlab, Overhaul, Aveda hair spa, Pooch and Samba.

Our MC for the night was Byron comedian Ellen Briggs.
